Optometry
Dr. Ludwig Chad Kuhar was born and raised in the Joliet area. After attending the Cathedral of St. Raymond’s grade school and Joliet Catholic High School, Dr. Kuhar earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Biology from the University of Iowa. He then went on to graduate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, the top-rated optometric school in the nation.
After working for 5 years with a private practice in Bourbonnais, Dr. Kuhar decided to open his own practice closer to home. Doing so would allow him to provide the type of quality care not found in chain eye care practices, which encourage optometrists to see up to 6 patients per hour. He is now able to schedule a maximum of 2 patients per hour. “I would rather spend time with my patients, get to know them, learn what their needs are, and teach them about good eyecare and related health issues!”
Dr. Kuhar has a wife, Claudette. They have one son, Alex, and one daughter, Catheryn.
